狮动设计采用圆形： 既是围棋「棋子」的简化，也暗合敦煌石窟「穹顶」的形态，同时象征「棋盘」的「围合感」。圆形中间的竖线+圆点，直接对应围棋盘上的「星位」，强化「棋」的属性。以「渐进式缺失」的形态打破左侧圆形的静态，形成「转动」或「展开」的动态感，既隐喻「棋局的进行」，整体通过圆形、星位、，感受到「敦煌的文化底蕴」，更通过「动态结构」传递出「棋院的活力」。
Lion design of the lion move is circular: it is not only a simplification of the chess piece of Go, but also coincides with the shape of the dome of Dunhuang Grottoes, and at the same time symbolizes the sense of enclosure of the chessboard. The vertical line+dot in the middle of the circle directly corresponds to the "star position" on the Go board, which strengthens the attribute of "chess".
